What's a waterproof "Water Pipe Heating Cable ?"
The waterproof water pipe heating cable are used on both metal and plastic pipes to prevent pipes freezing incold winter. This type of heating cable are with plugs and temperature thermostat, it works directly from your local voltage(110v,120v ,220v~240v ). Energy saving thermostat will make it stop heating work when the temperture higher than 13 degree and restart to heat when the temperature drops below 6 degree. The power indicator light also make you know well when it works.
How can I install the water pipeh heating cable?
Easy to install - simply run the cable down your pipes,fix it in place with electric tap and adhesive tape,
insulate and plug in. You could install it all by yourself according to the instruction inside.

1:AFTER I WRAP MY PIPES WITH A HEAT CABLE, CAN I THEN PUT PIPE INSULATION OVER THE CABLE KIT?
Rubber Tubular Pipe Insulation can be used over the Heat Cable. But Fiberglass Pipe Wrap with Plastic over wrap or Faced Fiberglass Pipe Wrap is a better choice. The Wrap does a better job completely encapsulating the heat cable to hold in the heat and better protect the pipe.
2: Can The Heat Cable Kit be placed on a pipe then insulated and covered over with wood or drywall?
It is never a good idea to sheet rock over an electrical item that is plugged into an outlet such as The Heat Cable Kit.
If you do want the Cable Kits to be sheet-rocked over, you should talk to an electrician about the best way to hard wire the Cable Kit into your home's power supply.
3:How should I secure the Heat Cable Kit to my pipes?
You can secure the Heat Cable Kits with just about any type of tape, but stay away from Masking Tape. Masking Tape doesn't have the strength to secure the Cable Kit any length of time, because the adhesive tends to dry out.While it's best to use tape, Cable Ties or Zip Ties will work as long as they are not pulled so tight that they cut into the
